Helping students find scholarships they can actually win
Tab Scholar is a scholarship discovery platform for students who want to study with funding — at home or abroad. Scholarship information is scattered across thousands of university pages, buried in PDFs, and often out of date by the time you find it. We bring it into one place: a searchable, filterable database of real opportunities, each one researched from the provider's official source.
Finding the money is only half of it, though. Many of the programs students want ask for a standardized test score, so we also built a complete Digital SAT preparation course and give it away for the same reason we give away everything else here.
Our mission is simple: no student should miss a scholarship or a university place because the information was too hard to find, too confusing to understand, or hidden behind a paywall.
A few things, done carefully
A curated scholarship database
We research and hand-index hundreds of scholarships, assistantships, fellowships, and financial aid programs across dozens of countries, and organize them so you can filter by degree level, funding type, and country in seconds.
Information from official sources only
Every listing is built from the university's, government's, or provider's own published pages — never from rumors or recycled blog posts — and each one links back to the official website so you can verify everything yourself.
Practical guides on our blog
From personal statements and financial-need essays to extracurriculars and standardized tests, our blog breaks down the application process into steps you can act on.
A complete Digital SAT course
A free, full preparation course for the Digital SAT covering every Reading & Writing and Math skill the test measures. Each topic has an explanation, two worked examples, solving tips, and practice questions graded easy to hard with full answer explanations — plus a built-in timer for pacing.
Free Digital SAT preparation
The SAT is a standardized admissions test used by universities — most heavily in the United States — to compare applicants from different schools and countries on one scale. Since 2024 it is fully digital and adaptive: 98 questions over 2 hours and 14 minutes, split into a Reading and Writing section and a Math section, each scored from 200 to 800 for a total between 400 and 1600. There is no penalty for a wrong answer.
Preparation for it is normally expensive, which is exactly why ours is free. Our course covers every domain the test measures:
Reading and Writing
- Information and Ideas
- Craft and Structure
- Expression of Ideas
- Standard English Conventions
Math
- Algebra
- Advanced Math
- Problem-Solving and Data Analysis
- Geometry and Trigonometry
Each topic opens with an explanation, two fully worked examples, and solving tips, followed by practice questions sorted into easy, medium, and hard — every one with a full answer explanation. A free account saves your answers so you can see your accuracy and finished topics on a progress page. Tab Scholar is not affiliated with or endorsed by the College Board.
Start SAT PrepThe principles behind the platform
Free for every student
Tab Scholar costs nothing to use. No account walls, no paid tiers, no locked listings — every scholarship in our database is open to every visitor.
Accuracy over volume
We would rather list fewer scholarships that are real, current, and correctly described than thousands of stale entries. Deadlines, award amounts, and eligibility are checked against the provider's official information.
Transparency
Every scholarship links to its official source. If we got something from a university's page, you can click through and read that page yourself.
Students first
Tab Scholar was built by people who went through the scholarship search themselves and know how confusing it is. Every feature we add starts from one question: does this make a student's search easier?
